THOMAS RONALD EDWARDS On Friday, October 1, 2004, at the Deer Lodge Centre, Thomas passed away at the age of 79 years. Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife Helga; sister Marjorie and her three children, Lynne, Darryl and Dean. Thomas was predeceased by his first wife Fran; and younger brother George. Thomas was a 36 year veteran of the Canadian Forces and continued to be active in military training even after his retirement. He enjoyed curling and golf. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 12 at 3:00 p.m. in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. with Padre Paul Southen officiating. Reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion No. 4, St. James Branch, 1755 Portage Ave. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Thomas memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7, or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba Inc., Unit 10 - 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
