DAVID SMITH PATON With great sadness on Thursday, September 30, 2004, David Paton passed away suddenly at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Dave is survived by his wife and friend, Stephanina; his daughter Beryl (David) Mitton; grandchildren; brother Walter (Dorothy) of Victoria; and cousins in Scotland. He was predeceased by his brother Johnny; and sister Nellie. Dave spent most of his life in the "North End" and was a great sportsman. Growing up, he and his brothers were known as the "Paton Boys." He was employed by Pellsner & Labatts Brewery. The family express our thanks to the employees on the 4th & 5th Floor at Seven Oaks Hospital. At Daves request, cremation has taken place and services will be held in Hawaii. Cropo Funeral Chapel 586-8044

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Dave was my US History teacher in high school. He and I had very different hair styles at that time, and I have since adopted his. He had a profound effect on me then, whether he was aware of it or not. I drove a remote controlled toy tank though the door of his class one afternoon...he took it in fun...Dave was passionate about the subject matter and welcomed discussions and opinions...something truly rare for a high school teacher. Mr. Paton...I did okay... One of the best...and will be remembered. - Posted by: Bob Dodds (Former Student) on: Jan 31, 2025
