EDMEE FORTIER (nee POIRIER) Peacefully on October 5, 2004, Edmee Fortier passed away at Foyer Valade at the age of 92 years 11 months. She was predeceased by her husband Rosaire; her parents; two sisters, Bertha Marcoux, Laurette Ferland; and her brother Louis. Edmee will be sadly missed by her brother Jos (Thais) Poirier, her sister Denise Dunlop, many nieces and nephews. Edmee was kind and loving. She appreciated all everyone did for her and called them "cherie". Edmees family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the nurses, staff, pastoral care and residents for their compassion and understanding during her stay at Foyer Valade. Special thanks to her niece Cecile Berard for all her kindness and many visits. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 14 at the St. Boniface Cathedral with Fr. Edouard Bonin presiding. Private interment at St. Leon, MB at a later date. Pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Valade Building Fund, 450 River Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2M 5M4 or to a charity of ones choice. Rest in peace, Edmee We love you.
