Born in Winnipeg, she began her singing career with the British Broadcasting Corporation in Canada. After moving to the United States, she performed with the National Broadcasting System in New York, Boston and Washington, DC, where she also worked for the Office of Strategic Services during the Second World War. She particularly enjoyed her performances at Radio city Music Hall in New York City. As a concert soloist she was also a recording artist for Monitor Records. She delighted audiences at international nightclubs and hotels with her rendition of songs in many languages. After moving to Miami, she continued performing at numerous Miami Beach hotels and starring with Caesar Lamonica at the Bandshell Auditorium. She was an active member of the Coral Gables Music Club, the Cancer Society and the Coral Gables Country Club. Olga was most proud of her Ukrainian heritage and of the Ukrainian communities in both the United States and Canada. Her lovely voice is still enjoyed through her beautiful records. She was a soloist for the Ukrainian community, was an active and proud member of the Assumption Ukrainian Catholic Church and the Ukrainian American Club. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed, she is survived by her daughter Olga Schaefer, her son Michael Pavloff and daughter-in-law Alice Pavloff, brother Monsignor Vladimir Bozyk, eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her many friends.
