LEONARD PAUL ELFENSON 1925 - 2004 Leonard, beloved husband of Nan, passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on Wednesday, October 6, 2004. Len was born in Winnipeg and except for 2 and one half years in the RCNVR during the Second World War, he lived most of his life in East Kildonan. Len worked at CP Rail for 28 years. At age 45 he began studies at the University of Manitoba, obtaining a law degree, with his "Call to the Bar" at age 50. Lens further 13 years of employment were with the Province of Manitoba. Leonard was predeceased by his parents, Leon and Pauline Elfenson. He will be deeply missed by Nan, his partner of 52 years. He is survived by his sister Elisabeth; brother Sam and sister-in-law Angela and their children, Connie and Dan. As well, he is mourned by Nans family and many other relatives and close friends. Sincere thanks for the compassionate care given to Len at St. Boniface General Hospital, especially to Dr. Narrandes, the step-down unit on 4, and Wards E6 and E4 and his rehabilitation Therapy group. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow in Eriksdale Cemetery, Eriksdale, MB at 3:00 p.m. For those wishing to pay a memorial tribute, a donation in Leonards memory to the Childrens charity is suggested.
