Mom moved to Catherine Place a year ago after having lived all her life on the family farm in St. Joseph where she and her husband raised their 11 children. Odile had a great devotion to Mary. She was a very caring, hard-working person. Her home was always open to family and friends. She loved nature, wildlife, gardening and painting. She was an avid reader and a pro at crosswords and scrabble. She was the perfect role model for all of us, and took great pride in the success of her children and grandchildren. She was an excellent cook - her pies, homemade buns, fudge, sucre a la creme and tourtiere were always a hit. She handled lifes trials with unshakable faith, believing that God, Mary and Joseph would take care of all her loved ones. Her many friends at Catherine Place summarized her as a "lovely lady, with a sincere smile." A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 11 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joseph. Blessing of the body at 1:30 p.m. Father Thibeault will preside.
