Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCORNELIA JOHANNA VANBRUGGEN Cora passed away peacefully at the Charleswood Care Centre on October 8, 2004, at the age of 82 years, with her husband Hank at her side. She is survived by her husband Hank of 65 years; son John (Ruth) daughters, Magda Griffin and Debbie Zervakis (Nick) of Edmonton; her grandchildren, Cory, Jo-Ann, Maria, Heather, Sandy, Lisa, Amanda, Emmanual, Christina; her great-grandchildren, Michael, Crystal, Lorin, Marin, Rain, Nick, Stephan, Leo, Quinton and Joshua. Cora was predeceased by her parents; two sisters and three brothers of Netherlands and grandson Kevin Griffin. Cora was born in Stryen, Netherlands on December 2, 1921. She was the eldest of six children. She married Hank in 1939. They immigrated to Canada in 1954. They farmed in Starbuck, Marquette and Meadows area. They resided the last four years in Stony Mountain and for the last four months at the Charleswood Care Centre. Cora loved farm life and had an active life in the community. The family would like to give special thanks to their many friends who came to visit them over the years, the Home Care Team of Stonewall for the years of support and a special thanks to the staff at the Charleswood Care Centre for their excellent care they provided to Cora the last four months. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 12 at 2:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 433 Main St., Stonewall. Interment will take place at Meadow Lea Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on her behalf to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10 - 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 or the Canadian Diabetes Association, P.O.
