EVA FRIESEN 1929 - 2004 Peacefully at home on October 9,2004, Eva Friesen passed away at the age of 75 after a courageous and dignified battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Jake of 53 years; as well as seven children, Viv (Ernie) Wiebe, Les (Dolores) Friesen, Carol (Tom) Wieler, Linda (John) Sawatzky, Marv (Edith) Friesen, Pat (Al) Fuller, Janet (Daryl) Sawatzky and 22 grandchildren. Eva was a hardworking partner with Jake on the family farm. She spent many hours volunteering at Grace Mennonite Church and the MCC thrift store in Brandon. She enjoyed the friendships and community living at Vic Wyatt house in Winnipeg over the last five years. Thank you to Evas family MD Dr.Ashvin Shah, the Palliative Home care team, especially nurse Myrna and many health care aides for the loving care over the last six months. Funeral service for Eva will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2:00 p.m. at Morrow Gospel Church, 755 St.Annes Rd., Winnipeg. Viewing prior to the service. Burial at Mennonite Memorial Gardens.
