MARGUERITE JUNE BULMER 1923 - 2004 Peacefully on Monday, October 11, 2004, Marguerite Bulmer passed into the arms of the Lord. Marguerite was born and raised in Carman, MB, the eldest daughter of Clayton and Merle Bulmer. She enjoyed country life, and was taught pioneer traditions at her grandparents farm, Will and Angie Campbell. Marguerite moved to Winnipeg at age 17 and was employed as a legal secretary by Adelman and Soloman. She was also a competition hair model for Josefs Coiffure. In 1957, Marguerite moved to Corpus Christi, TX, where she was employed by Drs. Mella and Marler. She was later engaged for many years as secretary for Ayers Street Church of Christ. Marguerite was a devoted lifelong member of the church and a faithful Christian. She had many dear friends among her Texas church family and they have continued their correspondence since her return to Winnipeg in 2000. Marguerite enjoyed symphony music, hobby painting, crafting, and sports teams, especially the Toronto Maple Leafs, Blue Bombers and Dallas Cowboys. She also enjoyed travelling, and often made the road trip from Texas to Canada, to visit her mother in Carman, and father and Winnie at Lake of the Woods. On weekends, she loved to visit Mexico and Padre Island, and her home away from home at Pete and Dorothy Krueger in Austin. Marguerite will be sadly missed by sisters, Eleanor Henderson, Colleen Munroe, Elda Moriarty and husband Brian. She was a beloved aunt who will be remembered by Corey, Leesa, Paul, Howie, Julie, Shannon, Jason, and nine great-nieces and nephews for her cheerfulness, gracious attentiveness and generosity. She will be remembered as someone who loved God, family, and friends. The family would like to thank Home Care, Dr. D. Sokolowski, Dr. A. Jeyakumar, Dr. J. Karvelas, Victoria Hospital Staff, and Deer Lodge Hospital S2 Staff for their kindness and care. A funeral service will take place at The Church of Christ, 217 Osborne St., at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 16 with Steve Carrazel of Round Rock, TX, officiating. Doyles of Carman in care of arrangements with interment at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Western Christian College, 100-4400 4th Avenue, Regina, SK, Canada, S4T 0H8. Farewell beautiful sister, aunt, and friend.
