Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH (BETTY) JOHNSTON Elizabeth (Betty) Johnston, 95 years old, peacefully passed away October 15, 2004 at the York Manor Nursing Home in Fredericton, NB. She was predeceased by her husband Arnold; parents, Gunnstein and Gudfinna Eyolfson; brothers, Victor, John, Axel and Albert; sisters, Cecelia, Vilborg, Thordis and Margret. Survived by son Dennis and his wife Judy of Fredericton, NB; several nephews and nieces and their children. She obtained her A.T.C.M. degree in piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music and taught piano in Winnipeg and other provinces including British Columbia, Ontario and New Brunswick. She played with Dance orchestras and with the first all-girl group called the Nabob Girls sponsored on Winnipeg radio by the Nabob company. She was also an organist. Her last teaching position was at the Balmoral Hall, private school for girls in Winnipeg.
