Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERT G. VERMEYLEN With sadness in our hearts, we announce the passing of Albert G. Vermeylen on October 10, 2004 in Dauphin, MB, with his family at his side. Albert was born in Grandvoir, Belgium in 1916 and moved to Canada with his family in 1919. At the age of 17, Albert and his family moved to Boggy Creek, MB. There, he met and married Claire Bedu in 1940, and the couple farmed and raised a family of four children. Albert was predeceased by his parents, Desire and Justine; as well as his brothers, Adelin, Georges, Gaston, and Emile; and his sisters, Berthe and Germaine; and most recently by his loving wife Claire. Left to celebrate Alberts life and achievements are his children, Albert Jr. (Eileen), Jeanne (Dennis), Huguette, and Daniel (Melaney) grandchildren; great-grandchildren; siblings, Louis, Amelia and Louise; and numerous nephews and nieces. Albert spent much of his time hard at work on the farm until he sold it in 1976. In his retirement years, he enjoyed time spent with family, cribbage and playing billiards at the "Fifty and Over Club" in Roblin. He loved to play the violin and sing at family gatherings, and will be remembered for his keen sense of humour. Alberts family would like to thank the Palliative Care staff at the Dauphin General Hospital for their special care and friendship. Albert is laid to rest at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Roblin, MB.
