LEONNE FRENCH (nee GOSSELIN) Peacefully, on Sunday, October 17, 2004, Lee French, beloved wife of Gerry French passed away at the Victoria Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born on May 4, 1944, Lee lived her childhood in St. Pierre-Jolys and in St. Boniface then moved to the United States to raise her three children. She returned to Canada in 1984 and remained here where she pursued many hobbies and activities and enjoyed her work caring for the residents at Catherine Place. Lee was predeceased by her father, Victor Gosselin and by an infant sister Yvette. Besides her cherished husband Gerry, Lee will be sadly missed by her mother Simone Gosselin; her three children, Ronna-Lee (Brad), Scott and Shannon; grandchildren, Brandon, Jessie, Austin and Blake; three sisters, Elaine (Ed), Mimi (Roger) and Michele (David) and her brother Jerry (Suzanne). Also left to mourn her passing are numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family wishes to express their thanks to Drs. Taraska, Maksymiuk, and Prenovault as well as the staffs at CancerCare and 3rd Floor, Victoria Hospital for their compassionate care of Lee and her family. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Ron Leger at the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 778 Archibald St. in St. Boniface on Wednesday, October 20 at 2:00 p.m. The service will terminate at the church. A private interment of Lees cremated remains will take place at a later date.
