Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY GILRAINE With sadness the family announces the passing of Dorothy on October 17, 2004. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Charles Patrick who died October 23, 1978; and her mother and father, Beatrice and Harry McDowell 1950 and 1964 respectively; also two brothers, Bob and Harry 1976 and 1997. Dorothy will lovingly be remembered by her only daughter Ruth (Denis) Tomasson; and grandchildren, Colin, Terry and Shelley Ray. Dorothy was born and educated in Winnipeg. She was employed with Eatons for 35 years and had a wide variety of interest and activities. Dorothy enjoyed her long time Rumoli and bridge clubs. Also her association with the Winnipeg Gyro Club and HMCS Chippawa and Line Dancing, bowling with the Eaton Retirees and world travelling were special pleasures. She was also a long time member of St. Albans Anglican Church. She treasured as well her time at the cottage with her grandchildren. A special thanks to the staff of St. Boniface Hospital, Emergency. A celebration of Dorothys life will be held on Wednesday, October 20 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Albans Anglican Church, Rathgar Avenue and Osborne Street. "Dont be sad, I am happy to be joining your Dad."
