Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERALD ADOLPHE SEDO Peacefully at home, with his wife Pat and family by his side, Gerald went to his eternal rest on Sunday, October 17, 2004. Gerald had a lengthy battle with heart disease, but is was a battle with cancer that finally took him. He fought hard to stay right to the end. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Pat of 48 years; son Kevin (Barb) of Winnipeg; daughter Kelly (Norman McPhail, Jacob and Emily) of Whistler, BC; son Brent (DeNel) of Hubbards, NS; and son Dale (Jane) of Saskatoon, SK. He is also survived by many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Gerald was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Lena; and brothers, Dan and Ken. Gerald was born February 8, 1933 in Macoun, SK. He then spent his early teens in Marquette, MB, moving to the farm in Springfield shortly thereafter. Gerald married the love of his life Pat on October 6, 1956. After several years in construction and trucking, Gerald settled into a 41 year career with the G.W.W.D. as a railroad engineer. Besides enjoying life on the railway, Gerald always maintained that his love of farming was first and foremost. Gerald was a kind and loving husband and father who taught us the importance of honesty and hard work. He made us proud and will be forever missed. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 21 at Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota St., with Pastor Larry Ulrich officiating. A private family interment to follow at Transcona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith Gardens Personal Care Home, in care of Faith Lutheran Church, R2M 1V8 or the Victoria Hospital Oncology Building Fund, 2340 Pembina Hwy., R3T 3E8.
