EVELYN TARDIFF It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother Evelyn Tardiff, aged 94 years, at the Sunnywood Manor, Pine Falls, MB on Sunday, October 17, 2004. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ovide of St. Georges, MB, Bernice (Danny) Wilde of Great Falls, MB, Maurice (June) of Winnipeg, MB, Joe (Shelly) of Saint John, NB; daughter-in-law Rose of Powerview, MB; her sister Anne Lavallee of Pine Falls; her brother Ernie Lafrance of Windsor, ON; 29 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband William in 1971; her son Leo; her daughters, Therese Thomas and Germaine Berthellette; sons-in-law, Richard Thomas, Leon Berthellette; daughter-in-law Kay Tardiff; grandson Larry Thomas; three sisters, Alceyma, Yvonne, Mary Louise; and one brother Henry. Evelyn was a wonderful, hard working person who always put everyone before herself. She always lent a helping hand and gave words of encouragement to all. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 21 at 2:00 p.m. in the Notre Dame du Laus Roman Catholic Church, Powerview, with Rev. Fr. James Gray, the celebrant. Interment of cremains will follow in the Pine Falls Mill Cemetery. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Dr. Oelofse and to the wonderful and caring staff at the Sunnywood Manor for their special care and friendship.
