JEAN DORIS BENNETT Jean passed away on October 19, 2004 after a brief stay at the St. Boniface Hospital from a stroke. Jeans husband Jack predeceased her in 1998. Jeans sisters, Stella Randall and Mary Freeman; brother Mac Kitchur; and brothers-in-law, Walter Randall, Siggy Freeman, Lawrence Bennett and Frank Bennett also predeceased her. Surviving Jean are her two sons, Doug (Gerry) and their children, Mike and Crystal; Rod (Barb) and their children, Phil and Elliott; sisters-in-law, Edna Kitchur, Marg Bennett, Terry Myers, Mildred and Gordon McKinnon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jean and Jack owned Bennett Industrial Building Services for over 35 years and was a big part of their lives. Jean enjoyed all the special dinners with her family and the occasional gambling trips with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by her family and her friends. The family would like to thank the paramedics that brought Jean to the St. Boniface Hospital, the St. Boniface Emergency Staff, and the nurses and doctors on the Fifth Floor for giving your attention to Jean in her need. A special thanks also goes out to Gord Anderson who enriched her last remaining years. There will be a gathering on Saturday, October 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. alongside Jack and Jeans niche. Friends are asked to gather at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may make a donation in Jeans name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. We love you Mom and will miss you forever.
