VALERIE CHENG (nee MOORS) Peacefully, with her family by her side, it is with deep regret that we announce the death of Val on Monday, October 18, 2004 at the North York General Hospital, Toronto, ON, at the age of 49 years. Remaining to forever cherish Vals memory are her beloved husband Robert; precious son Braden; parents, David and Joy; sisters, Dorothy (Win), Barbara (Glenn), Beverly (John) and a brother Craig (Lynn) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Val was predeceased by her brother Donald. Val grew up in Transcona and then moved to Toronto where she eventually met Robert and started a family. Vals main passion in life was spending time with Robert and Braden. Other activities included making jewellery, art classes and involvement with the P.T.A. at her sons school. Family and friends will be received at the York Visitation Chapel and Reception Centre, 160 Beecrost Rd., Toronto, ON (at North York Blvd., 416-221-3404) on Thursday, October 21 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service on Friday, October 22 in the Cemetery Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Cremation. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society of Canada. In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away, You suffered much in silence, You fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage, Your spirit did not bend. But still you kept on fighting Until the very end. God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be, So He put his arms around you, And whispered "Come with me" So when we saw you sleeping So peaceful, free from pain We could not wish you back To suffer so again.
