VICTORIA LANG (YURICHUK/ MORRIS) February 16, 1919 - October 18, 2004 We sadly announce the passing of our beloved Mom and Nanny. Your sweet, kind, gentle nature, beautiful sense of humour and loving ways will be forever cherished in the hearts of your family, son Wayne (Joan) daughter Lynn (Barry) grandsons, Colin and Jared; and ALL the people your life touched. Victoria was predeceased by her husband Frank in 1996; sisters, Kay, Verna, Dora; and brother Mickey. Mom was born in Winnipeg and spent her married life in East Kildonan raising her family in the home she loved so much. She was a very hard worker, helping out with the yard work and even painting the inside of the house. She was an excellent cook and loved having her family over for dinner. We will miss going over for lunch and spending the afternoons with you. Mom also loved to knit. She made baby clothes for the grandkids and numerous afghans and sweaters. In her later years, she donated hundreds of mitts and toques which she knit to local charities. She was a Beloved Grandmother who played a VERY special role in her grandsons lives. Victoria will be sadly missed by many friends and family, too numerous to mention. Even through all the pain and suffering Mom endured throughout her life, she was always there for us. Her courage and strength was an inspiration to us all. Mom lifted our spirits, broadened our horizons and was forever lighting up our faces with smiles. She was an impact on all our lives. We will miss your laughter, all the love and affection you displayed in your special and caring ways. Special thanks to the staff on the third and first floors of Concordia Hospital for their concern care and comfort given to our Mom. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0X4 on Thursday, October 21, at 1:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined. Those who wish, may make a donation to The Childrens Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J2. Mom: You will forever be remembered as a sweet and special lady by all. We love you - you will be missed dearly. Nanny: Youre a beautiful example for a grandchild to follow. We are both very thankful and proud to have you as our grandmother. Until we meet again, you will never be forgotten. We love you Nanny. No more pain to bare, No more suffering today, I can feel your presence, You are there with me by my side, Watching over me to guide me through, Embedded in my heart and mind forever...
