Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBERNICE DORIS LOUGH (nee HARRIS) August 27, 1919 - October 17, 2004 It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Bernice Lough on October 17, 2004 at the age of 85. Bea is survived by her three loving sons, Rob (Cathy) of Winnipeg, Tom (Kate) of Toronto and Pep (Bev) of Calgary and her cherished grandchildren, Kristi (Matt), Robin, Chris (Erin), Carmen, Sean, Scott and Erin. She is also survived by her two brothers, Norm Harris of Pine Falls and Lorne Harris (Thelma) of Victoria. Bea was predeceased by her husband William in 1996. Bea was born in Shoal Lake, MB and moved to Beaverbrook Street in Winnipeg as a child. She married Bill in 1942 and travelled with him throughout Canada during war days making lifelong friends wherever they went. Bill and Bea settled into 636 Riverwood in 1949 and had remained Fort Garry residents since. Bea was actively involved in the communitys sports programs as she followed her sons activities from the hockey rinks to the ball diamonds and the football fields. She was an active member of Fort Garry United Church for over 50 years. She retired in 1985 as administrative secretary in the Psychology Department at the University of Manitoba. In their retirement Bea and Bill travelled extensively throughout the world and continued to make friends at every stop. A celebration of Beas life will be held on Thursday, October 21 at 1:30 p.m. at Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Rd. at Wicklow. Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, friends who so wish may make a donation in Beas name to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
