Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVA ARVILLA ROBINSON 1904 - 2004 Peacefully, on October 19, 2004, our Mother, Grandma and Great-Grandma passed away with her loving family by her side, at the Selkirk and District General Hospital. We thank God for the 100 years that she shared her love with her family. Eva was the first born of William Clarkson and Emily Victoria Van Norman (nee Shields). She was born August 14, 1904 on the family farm in Roland, MB. Eva married Leonard Wesley Robinson, also of Roland, on November 25, 1924. They moved to Clandeboye in 1930 with their young family. Leonards father, Wesley Robinson, had settled there earlier. Eva lived in Clandeboye until 1956 when she moved to Winnipeg. She was employed at the Grace General Hospital for 14 years, retiring in 1970. She was a member of the Clandeboye United Church and active in the UCW and the St. James United Church. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and needlepoint. Family members are recipients of her beautiful handwork. She enjoyed a lengthy retirement. Eva is survived by her five children, Norman (Mabel) of Calgary, AB, Delmar (Lois) of Cochrane, AB, James (Jean) of Clandeboye, MB, Gladys (David) Aime of Clandeboye and Elsie of Winnipeg, MB. She is survived by 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Leonard in 1949; infant son Robert Allan in 1937 and her sister Cleta McCaskill in 1973. Eva resided at the Betel Home in Selkirk since October 2002. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff and Dr. Demsas for the loving care and compassion she received. A heartfelt thanks to the nurses and doctors at the Selkirk General Hospital for their care and compassion they provided to Mom and the family. At Mothers request, cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Clandeboye United Church on Saturday, October 23 with Rev. Don McIntyre and Rev. Marilyn Anderson-Corkum officiating. Interment of ashes will follow. All grandchildren are considered honorary pallbearers. If friends so desire, donations may be made in her memory to Clandeboye United Church, Clandeboye, MB R0C 0P0 or St. James United Church, 234 Parkview St., Winnipeg, MB. A deeply religious lady - we commend our mother to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit who sustained her. GILBART FUNERAL HOME, SELKIRK in care of arrangements.
