Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAWRENCE STARR It is with deepest sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Lawrence on Sunday, October 17, 2004. Lawrence was born on April 9, 1936 and was predeceased by his mother Doris, father Joe and father-in-law Eugene Gallant. He married Eleanor (Gallant) in 1957 and they enjoyed 47 happy years together. He is survived by his loving wife, partner and friend Eleanor; his brothers, Tom (Helen), Jake (Ann), David (Sharon) his mother-in-law Regina Gallant; sister-in-law Louise Chambers; brothers-in-law Ernie Gallant (Judy), Raymond Gallant (Eileen), 11 nieces and nephews, five great nieces and nephews. Lawrence had a successful and distinguished 29 year career at Old Dutch Foods and was also an entrepreneur. He made many friends through the years and has kept many since his retirement four years ago. Lawrence was a wonderfully warm, loving man who had a zest for life and cherished his family. He was kind, funny and always had time for his numerous nieces, nephews and god children. By Lawrences request, there will be no funeral service, but rather a private family gathering at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gehsemane Lutheran Church, Inwood, MB.
