WALTER MATTHEW LAWRENCE With great sorrow, the family announces the peaceful passing of Walter on October 19, 2004. Walter was predeceased by his parents, Matthew and Agnes Lawrence; his sisters, Adelle, Irene and Yvonne; his children, Marlene, Wayne and Janice. Left to mourn his passing is his wife of 41 years Marie-Anne; his children, Walter (Geraldine), Murray (Marie) and Danny (Dana) also left to mourn are Walters six step-sons with their wives and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill (June) and Fred; as well as nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Tache Nursing Home for all their care and support they gave while Walter resided there. Also special thanks to the staff on the 5th floor at St. Boniface Hospital for their compassion and support. Due to Walters wishes, a simple ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with viewing being held at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Walters memory to the Canadian Diabetes Society.
