OLGA AMELIA SCHMOR Peacefully on October 20, 2004, Olga of North Kildonan, passed away at Concordia Hospital at age 97 years. Olga was born in Mischawaya, Southern Russia, to Heinrich and Christina (nee Kruger) Penz on October 23, 1907. Olga accepted Christ as her Saviour as a teenager and was baptized in Russia. She was a member of the Elmwood MB Church in North Kildonan for many years. She is survived by her sister Alma (Penz) and Jake Wiens, of Saskatoon, SK; three grandchildren, Carla (Ron) McCall, Sandra (Jim) Hatz, Calvin (Katy McClellan) Dirks; eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Jacob B. Schmor in 1995 after 67 years of marriage; her daughter Muriel in 2000; son-in-law John Dirks in 1995 and granddaughter Terri (nee Dirks) Scheller in 1984. Olga married Jacob B. Schmor on September 28, 1928 in Hepburn, SK. They were blessed with one daughter, Muriel in 1933. Olga taught piano in the early years, loved entertaining and she and Jacob travelled all over the world. She leaves a long legacy of faith and dignity. Grandma, we praise God that you are now in his presence, weve been blessed by your many years here with us. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood MB Church, 145 Henderson Hwy. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Interment in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
