MARY KUKURA nee TWERDOCHLIB April 25, 1913 - October 22, 2004 It is with profound sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of our Mother on Friday, October 22, 2004 at the Seven Oaks Hospital, with her family at her side, having received the sacrament of anointing, the Last Rites by Rev. Dmytro Dnistrian. With Gods grace, Mom reached the age of 91. She was predeceased by her husband Alex exactly 33 years to the day. Mom was born at her family farm on April 25, 1913 at Hyas, SK to parents Michael and Esther Twerdochlib. She will be sadly missed by daughter Sonia Domitruk; son Garr (Helene) Kukura; daughter Valerie (Peter) Kohut; five grandsons, Michael (Shannon) Domitruk, Chris Domitruk, Marc and Roman Kukura, Cory (Tanya) Kohut; great-grandchildren, Ty, Shae, Darian Domitruk and Talia Kohut; sister Lena Zawislak; many nieces and nephews. Mom was also predeceased by an infant daughter Sandra; sister Annie Yagilniski; brother Joe Twerdochlib; sons-in-law, Don Tesarski, William Domitruk and granddaughter Elyse Tesarski. Mom was an active member of St. Josephs Ukrainian Catholic Church, belonging to the Womens League, Seniors Club, always lending a helping hand at the church perogy bees. To supplement her family income Mom worked at several different jobs over the years, helping her family in every way she could. Her zest for life was truly an inspiration for all of her children and everyone who knew her. Her strong belief in her faith and her independence brought her through many difficulties in her life. Mom was quick to lend advice and had a most forgiving nature. Cooking dinners for her family was her greatest joy even up until her 91st year. In the earlier years, she looked forward to her winter excursions to the warmer climates of Texas, Arizona and Hawaii. Funeral Prayers will be held on Monday, October 25 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Josephs Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Ave. with Rosary commencing at 6:20 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 26 at 10:00 a.m. also at the church with Rev. Dmytro Dnistrian officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephew Lewis Lozinski. Honorary pallbearers will be all her friends from the St. Josephs Senior Club. In lieu of flowers, Liturgy offerings would be greatly appreciated. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
