Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER MICAL (WLADYSLAW) November 5, 1919 - October 21, 2004 With family present, peacefully on Thursday, October 21, 2004, Walter Mical aged 84 passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. Walter leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 54 years, Mary and his sons, Stephen and Orest. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Aniela (nee Polak) along with brother Theodore. He is survived by his sister Maria with related family throughout Poland, Australia, South America, USA and Canada. He was born in Wies Wysoka, Rzeszow, Poland. Separated from family due to war, Walter arrived in Canada in 1948 where he worked across southern Manitoba for both CN/CP Railways. On October 7, 1950, Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Rosary, he married Mary Milan, fathering two sons. For the next 33 years, he was employed with Cowin Steel, retiring in 1983. Respected for his gentle ways, he was an active member in the religious community. Prayers will be held Monday, October 25, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 26, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Cantius Roman Catholic Church, 846 Burrows Ave., with Fr. Henryk Uczniak officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery. Heartfelt thanks is extended to a most caring and compassionate staff at Unit U4 of Seven Oaks Hospital, along with Dr. Gorski. Words cannot express our gratitude for the love and attention given. Flowers are gratefully declined. If so desired, donations in Walters memory may be made to St. John Cantius Church or to a charity of your choice.
