STANLEY (BUD) FREDERICK CHARLES SNOWDY March 27, 1934 - October 22, 2004 With great sorrow we announce his sudden passing in Thompson, MB. He was there on business. Lynn Lake has lost their last original resident. Bud resided in the north, a place he loved for 56 years. Fishing was his sport of choice, the cottage at Zed Lake, curling in the early years and snowmobiling. He had many pleasant evenings playing cards with friends. He did not travel extensively. However, he thoroughly enjoyed his trips to Cuba and Hawaii. After he completed his education he was employed by Sherritt Gordon Mines as a machinist and welder. He was a welder by trade and left Sherritt Gordon Mines to own and operate Buds Welding. He managed his business for over 30 years. Bud is survived by his loving sister Doreen Richter her husband Ernie. His pride and joy were his nephews, Donald (Erin) daughters, Megan and Madison; David (Sue) son Mark. Bud was predeceased by his mother Clara Snowdy (January 1967) and his nephew Bobby Richter (December 25, 1983). He was my brother and I will miss our discussions and friendship that Ive had all my life. You can have relations and friends but you cant have a brother like Ive had. And more, much more than this he did it his way. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Buds memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba; 200- 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. To live the lives of those we love means not to die. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 30, at 3.00 p.m. at St. Simons, Lynn Lake, MB. Boardman Northland Funeral Services, Thompson, MB
