RONALD (RON) ARNOLD NOWAKOWSKI Suddenly, after a short illness, Ron Nowakowski, 56 years old, passed away October 21, 2004. Ron was born in Winnipeg, MB on November 26, 1947. He is survived by his wife Janet; children, Andrew, Kayla, Adam and Gabriel Bedard; sister Adeline Huppe (Doug) of Calgary, AB; brother Don (Doreen) and family; brother Frank; cousin Ann. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, kids, brothers, sister, family, special friends and Sparky. He was predeceased by his father, Adam (1981) and mother, Rozalia (1995). Ron worked at a variety of different jobs in his life, City of Winnipeg, Insect Control Branch (six years) and most recently, West Kildonan Golf Course (10 years). Ron loved hobbies in the garage, fixing things for family and friends. He also loved playing "Pacman" with his kids, dice with friends, fishing and camping and cooking his special dishes. He would always help a friend in need. Ron was a truly devoted father, and always there for his family through the good times as well as the bad. A person always knew they were well-liked, when Ron gave them a Nick Name. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Rons life will be held on Thursday, October 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. At familys request, flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made in Rons memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Manitoba Diabetes Association.
