Date of Passing: Oct 23, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANDREW JAMES READ YOUNG It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Andrew Young, on Saturday, October 23, 2004, at the age of 20. Beloved son of Jon Young and Nancy Read, cherished brother of Ian Wallace Read Young, and the adored grandson of Ruby Young of Whitley Bay, England, and of the late Grace and Wallace Read of London, ON, with whom he spent many happy summers at the family camp on Lake Panache. He will also be greatly missed by his Winnipeg friends and by his many aunts, uncles and cousins in England and in Ontario. Andrew grew up in Winnipeg, where he attended French immersion schools in Fort Garry, graduating from Vincent Massey Collegiate in 2002. He was in third year at the University of Manitoba. Andrew had an unquenchable passion for writing, poetry and literature, and his journey toward self-discovery and engagement in the world has been tragically cut short. We will miss him terribly. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 29 at 1:00 p.m., at St. Pauls Anglican Church, 830 North Dr. at Pointe Road, Fort Garry. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our friends and neighbours for their kindness. A special thank you to Jons friends and colleagues at the Faculty of Education, University of Manitoba. THOMSON "IN THE PARK" Funeral Home and Cemetery 1291 McGillivray Blvd. 925-1120
