He was predeceased by his father Chris; mother Elizabeth; brothers, Mike, Jim, Bill, Jack; stepmother Mary; and half-brother Chris. Terry was born and lived all his life in Winnipeg. After his years in the R.C.A.F. in Canada, he returned to Winnipeg in 1945 to start his sales career with Gaults Ltd., which became Kennedy Floorings. Gaults was where Terry, the travelling salesman, met Jen, the farmers daughter, and they married in 1948. After covering territories in Saskatchewan and Northwestern Ontario, Terry created the contract sales department, servicing the hotel industry, where he continued to enjoy selling for the same company for over 50 years. Terry was a wonderful father, very proud and supportive of his children. He encouraged them to strive for excellence in all their endeavours. In later years, he took delight in his grandchildren. They enjoyed their time with "Bumpa" and his keen sense of humour. Besides work, Terrys interests were golfing at Elmhurst, curling at Rossmere, duck hunting at the farm in Miniota and time with his family at Lake of the Woods. A service will be held on Saturday, October 30 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church at the corner of Munroe and Brazier, followed by a gathering in the parish hall to celebrate Terrys life. There will be a private family interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Terrys memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca
