WINIFRED CURTIS (nee CLAYTON) Born February 14, 1917 in Huddersfield, England passed away peacefully on October 21, 2004 at Bayview residence in Pointe Claire, QC, Canada. Dearly loved wife of Henry Cecil and mother of Valerie (Harald) and Janet (Bill). Loving grandmother of Christian (Anne), Lisbet and Eva of Denmark and Jill and Ken of Barrie, ON. Win suffered from Alzheimers and Macular Degeneration. Special thanks to all who gave great care and help during the difficult times. Win lived in Huddersfield, England and moved to Birminham, England shortly after her wedding in February, 1946. In 1958, she and her family immigrated to Winnipeg, MB and in 1971, Win and Henry moved to Montreal, QC. Win was a cheerful, friendly and loving person who enjoyed the company of many neighbours and friends wherever she lived. She particularly enjoyed helping others and was a volunteer for many years at the Beaconsfield Public Library and the V.O.N. Ste-Anne. Thank you from the family to all the wonderful people with whom she came in contact and who became family friends. She will be sadly missed and happily remembered. Visitation at Collins Clarke Funeral Home, 222 Highway 20, Pointe Claire (Cartier Exit 49), Thursday, October 28 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A memorial service in the chapel Friday, October 29 at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Andrew Sandilands will be officiating.
