EMILY ANNIE (TOOTS) PAULSON Peacefully at E. M. Crowe Memorial Hospital, Eriksdale, MB on October 26, 2004 with her children at her side. Toots is survived by her daughter, Janet Donahoe (Pete) granddaughter Leanna Young and fiance Mike of San Antonio, Texas; grandson Jason Young (Tracey) and great-grandsons Brenden and Tanner of Lundar, MB. She is also survived by her son Lloyd Paulson (Karen) of Wawanesa, Manitoba and grandchildren, Kris of Winnipeg and Angie of Edmonton, AB. She is survived by a sister Barbara Muncaster of Sudbury, ON; along with nieces and nephews and other family members and many great friends. Toots was predeceased by her husband Dr. G. Paulson (Doc), by her parents Harry and Sigridur Smith; by her sisters, Gladys, Aileen and Olga; brother Harry and niece Lorraine. Toots was born in Narcisse, MB in 1920. After completing her education, she moved to Lundar to work as a housekeeper for the new doctor. A romance blossomed and, in 1942, she married Doc. Together, they raised their family in Lundar. She was a devoted and loving mother to her children, a lifelong companion to her husband, and a strong supporter and guardian to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was extremely proud of the accomplishments of each of them. Toots was an active member of the community and enjoyed many happy times with her family and friends over the years. She enjoyed curling and was an accomplished needlepoint artist and a wonderful cook. Her sense of humour was legendary as was her love of music. Her faith and confidence in the bibles promises remained strong. As one of Jehovahs Witnesses, she looked forward to the time when Gods Kingdom would put an end to death, mourning and human suffering (Rev. 21: 3, 4). A memorial service in memory of Toots will be held at Lundar Community Hall at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 30 with Mr. Jeffrey Navarro officiating. Interment to follow in the Lundar Municipal Cemetery. Everyone in attendance that day can consider themselves honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Toots memory to the Eriksdale Hospital Guild, in care of Gail Holmes, Eriksdale, MB R0C 0W0, or to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Ave., Room 1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
