JOHN MARTIN SMITH Peacefully on October 26, 2004 John Martin Smith passed away at the Grace General Hospital at the age of 83 years. John will be loving remembered by his beloved wife Mabel; daughter Rosemary (Doug) Lepine; brother Tom (Julia) of Kelowna and brother-in-law Bud Harlow; nieces, Valerie (Wayne) and Alexis Dalzell of Vancouver and Mary-Anne and Tianna Smith of Kelowna, Wendy (Greg) Carrigan and Marie Basaraba of White Rock, BC; nephews, Robert (Lorette), Allan (Kira) and Jim (Arlene) Harlow. He was predeceased by his father Robert Smith and mother Mary Smith (nee Martin). John served overseas during the Second World War and latterly with the Winnipeg Fire Department for 35 years. A private family interment was held on Friday, October 29 at Brookside Cemetery followed by a memorial service at the St. James Presbyterian Church.
