ANNA IWANCHUK (nee SCHNEIDER) It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Anna Iwanchuk on Monday, October 25, 2004, at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 94 years. She will be deeply missed by her only son Jim; grandsons, Dan (Judy), Stan (Stacey) and Tim (Lana) and nine great-grandchildren. Anna was predeceased by her husband Michael in 1976 and grandson Randy (Tracy) in 2000. Mom was born on April 4, 1910 in Poland. She immigrated by herself to Canada in 1928 at the tender age of 18. Initially settling in Mair, SK, she came to Winnipeg during the great depression. Here she met and married Mike and together they started Canada Auto which is still run by the family today. Mom lived her life in the first house they bought on Clifton Street until 1998 when she moved to Central Park Lodge on Poseidon. A private family funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Memories in Wojciks All Beliefs and Faiths Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Ave. at Sharp Boulevard. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. Our family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Central Park Lodge and the staff at the Victoria General Hospital for the wonderful care Mom received. In lieu of flowers, donations in Annas memory may be made to the Salvation Army Divisional Headquarters, 500-55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8.
