JOSEPH KOSOWAN Passed away peacefully at home on, October 26, 2004, at the age of 79 years. Joseph was predeceased by his daughter Gaye; sisters, Barbara and Eva. He is survived by his loving wife Sophie, of 51 years; children, Janis (Terry), Marilyn (Cliff), Brenda (Rick), Lois (Ray) and Joey; son-in-law Fred Miller; grandchildren, Mandi, Jamie, Tiffany, Tyler, Tessa, Teighlor, Nikki, Chad, Jessica, Mitchell, Shayne and Rayna; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Indy and Shaylee; sisters, Mary and Ollie. He is also survived by special friends, Rayna and Frank Moskwa, and extended family. Joes work with CNR brought him to Transcona where he lived for 41 years. He worked for the City of Winnipeg, City Incinerator, Waterworks, he held a garbage contract for North Kildonan and spent several years working for Maple Leaf Construction. All of his skills and experience led him to start his own trucking business "Kosowan Cartage" which he was very proud of, and worked until retirement. Joe continued to work as a woodsman, he loved to cut and sell firewood. Joe was passionate about hunting, trapping, his place in Carrick, MB, spending time with family and friends, and driving his trucks. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 30, at 10:00 a.m., with viewing one hour prior, at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in Josephs memory may be made to Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2.
