Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNICHOLAS (NICK) MAZUR Peacefully in the early morning on Wednesday, October 27, 2004; Nick passed away at the age of 83 years. Nick was born on November 21, 1920 and raised in Thalberg, MB. He worked at many jobs as a young man including at a sawmill in Schreiber, ON. He then married Stephie Zack, from Allegra, MB, moved to Winnipeg, and began working at Cowin Steel until his retirement in the early 1980s. During this time, Nick and Stephie raised four children. Dad enjoyed life with Mom at his side, spoiling his grandchildren, working in the garden, fishing and travelling, which included winters in Texas. He also loved to play cards and spent numerous evenings playing with the card group of four, which included Dad and Mom along with Paul and Theresa Zack. They are likely now playing again. His many friends, including those at The Lions Manor, where he has lived since Moms passing in 2000, will miss their kind, generous friend who had a smile for everyone. Left to treasure memories of that huge smile, his beautiful blue eyes and his caring giving nature are his son and daughter-in-law Allan and Kathy; grandchildren, Tamika (Rob), Nicholas (Nicole) and great-grandchildren Kaylyn and Kieran. Nick was predeceased by the light in his life and his wife of 54 years, Stephie; his granddaughter Kimberly; his parents, John and Michalena (Tymchyshyn) a brother Anton; sisters, Carrie Mikoluff, Annie Boroskae, Mary Glowaski and Paulie Mikoloff. Nick is also survived by a brother Walter; sons, Bobbie and Lawrence (Stephanie) daughter Mary (Gordon) and grandchildren, Shannon (Alex), Bobbie (Nicole), Christopher and Stacy. On Monday, November 1 at 10:00 a.m., Nicks funeral service will be held in the Silver Heights United Church, 199 Garrioch Ave. (off Mount Royal Road and Ness Avenue.)
