Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARRY PIDRUCHNY December 28, 1911- October 26, 2004 Peacefully, at his residence, at the golden age of 92 years, Harry Pidruchny of Winnipeg Beach, MB. Harry leaves to mourn his passing his daughter Margie Rigey of Dryden, ON; sons, Fred (Marg) of Gimli, MB and David (Donna) of Genelle, BC; grandchildren, Richard (Maija), Bob (Josie) and Pat Rigey, Kevin and Craig Pidruchny, Kathie (Rick Ford) and Laura Pidruchny; great-grandchildren, Mailis, Matthew, Mark, Jason and Kelly Rigey, Justina Pidruchny and BJ and Brandon Ford.; brothers, Art (Florence) of Detroit, Michigan and Frank of Komarno, MB; along with several nieces and nephews. Harry was predeceased by his wife of 63 years Mary, in 1996; parents Nickola and Justina; mother and father-in-law Annie and Peter Boitson; son-in-law Peter Rigey and siblings, Annie, Wanda, John, Bill, Nick, Walter and Tom. He was born and grew up on the farm in Komarno that was homesteaded by his grandparents. He and Mary were married in 1932 in Pleasant Home and moved to Winnipeg Beach in 1934, where they built their life long home. Harry worked for Bill and Franks Ice and Wood and then moved on to working for CPR Parks in Winnipeg Beach. He then went on to work for B&B (CPR) for 25 years as a carpenter at various locations in Manitoba. Upon retirement from CPR he worked locally doing renovations and plumbing jobs and in later years repaired lawnmowers and pressure pumps. He was quick to take on any challenging repair. Harry worked hard all his life and he was a kind and gentle man to his family. His great-granddaughter Justina was the brightest star in his life. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 1 at 10:30 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli. Viewing will be held one hour prior to service time. Interment to follow in the Pleasant Home Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harrys grandchildren, Richard and Bob Rigey, Kevin and Craig Pidruchny and his nephews, Charlie Zelenitsky and Brian Hoel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Healing Garden, Gimli Community Health Centre, Box 250, Gimli, MB ROC 1B0 or to the charity of ones choice.
