Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIEANNE ALPHONSINE YANIUK (nee FASERUK) Suddenly on October 27, 2004, Marieanne Yaniuk passed away at Dauphin Regional Hospital in Dauphin, MB. Marieanne was predeceased by her husband Raymond in January, 2004. She leaves to mourn her brother Anthony Faseruk and wife Pat of St. Thomas, ON; her six children, Ron Slipec of Winnipeg, Shirley Madill of Hamilton, ON, Doug Slipec and wife Kim of Winnipeg, Sharon Kemash and husband Brian of Dauphin, Sherrilee Lachuta and husband Roger of Winnipeg and John Yaniuk of Cold Lake, AB; and 12 grandchildren, Jennifer, Natasha, Aurel, Kassandra, Bradley, Daniel, Brittany, Dustin, Timothy, Alexa, Nicholas and Matthew. Mom was born in St. Malo, MB on December 23, 1929. She was raised by her grandparents, Mary and John Gooski in Dufrost, MB. She met Joe Slipec and was married on June 28, 1948 and had four children, Ron, Shirley, Douglas and Sharon and settled in Woodside, MB. Tragically, in 1958 she was widowed and later moved to Teulon, MB to live with her grandparents, Mary and John Gooski. There she met Raymond Yaniuk and was married on November 12, 1961 and had two children, Sherrilee and John. They farmed in Teulon with their family and settled for 38 years. A decision was made to sell the farm and move to Dauphin in 1999. Mom has always enjoyed her love of cooking, crafts and gardening. She was a foster parent for many years and later held a supervisor position at Teulon Residences. She had much respect for the Aboriginal culture and all the students that were under her care. Mom and Dad had always enjoyed entertaining family and friends at their homes in Teulon and Dauphin. She enjoyed the many festivals of Dauphin and spending time with her closenit circle of friends. A special thank you to Dr. Willemse, Dr. Lysak, Dr. Kish and the nurses at Dauphin Regional Hospital for their care and support for our mother. Sincere thanks to all her special friends for the kind wishes and support through this time. Prayers and viewing to be held on Monday, November 1 at 6:00 p.m. and funeral to be held on November 2 at 12:00 p.m. both in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Teulon.
