SUFAY LEE (nee WONG) After a courageous and long battle with breast cancer, SuFay, our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother peacefully passed away at the age of 69 years at the St Boniface Hospital with her daughter at her side. SuFay will be sadly missed by her husband Thomas; children, Rod (Charlene), Deanna, Darrell and Clifford (Cathy) grandchildren Erika, Rebecca, Sabrina and Matthew; her sisters Susie (Peter) and Wong Soe Gee; and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers. SuFay was born on September 26, 1935 and grew up in Canton, China. After several years as a school teacher in Hong Kong, she came to Canada in 1959 and married Tommy for 45 years. They raised their family in Winnipeg where most of them still reside. She loved crocheting quilts and making gift hangers for family and friends. She was actively involved with the Chinese United Church and was baptised in 2002. The family would like to thank the staff at CancerCare Manitoba and the St Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their care and support. A service will be held on Monday November 1 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bardal Funeral Chapel, 843 Sherbrook Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation or the Chinese United Church of Winnipeg.
