Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEON BEAUBIEN 1932 - 2004 Formerly of Ottawa, Leon passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 30, 2004 at Freeport Health Centre, aged 72. Beloved husband of Jeanne (nee Dumelie) of Assiniboia, SK. Dear father of Celine and husband Brent Edwards of Edmonton, AB, Bunny and friend Rose Borgh of Kitchener, ON, Lisa Scott and friend Michael Gauthier of Gatineau, QC. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Zachary Roberts, Annabel Scott and Ryan Edwards. Leon, born in Winnipeg, MB was an alumnus of the University of Manitoba, where he was called to the bar in 1963. He was a federal government employee until his retirement in 1993. He was formerly a member of St. Patricks Basilica (Ottawa) and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes (Waterloo). As a devout Catholic, Leon was a professed member of the Discalced Carmelite Secular Order. The Mass of Christian Burial and interment will be held in Kitchener/Waterloo, ON on Wednesday, November 3.
