HARRY PALIDWOR Peacefully with his family by his side, Dad passed away on October 31, 2004, at the age of 89 at Kin Place in Oakbank, MB. Predeceased by his wife Nettie and daughter Shirley Bru, brothers Walter and Norman. He is survived by four children and their families, Carol Cariou, Ernie (Terry), Lawrence (BettyAnne), Don (Brenda) all of Oakbank; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sister Mary Surzyshyn; and brothers, Emil and Edward. Dad farmed till age 65 and while farming, held jobs in Winnipeg at John Woods, Domtar, and Birds Hill Provincial Park. Dad took great pride in watching his family grow and the achievements they accomplished throughout his life time. He was always there to support them or give a helping hand in any way possible and enjoyed doing it as family was always important to him. Our family would like to extend special thanks and appreciation to the nurses and staff at Kin Place for their kindness and loving care of our father for almost four years. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. #1 E. at Navin Road. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren: Darrin Bru, Dale Nye, Wendy Cooper, Kevin Palidwor, Jason Palidwor and Maureen Palidwor. Honorary pallbearers: Loni Palidwor, Tracy Palidwor, Melinda Proudfoot & Bradley Bru. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kin Place Personal Care Home, Recreation Department, 680 Pine Dr., Box 28, Oakbank, MB R0E 1J0.
