MARCELIA ROBINSON (nee THORKELSSON) March 3, 1907 - October 30, 2004 "Auntie Marcy" passed away peacefully at the Poseidon Care Centre after a prolonged illness. She was predeceased by three sisters, Fjola Mack of Los Angeles, Rae Flint of San Jose, and Sarah Thorkelsson of Winnipeg; three brothers, Stefan Olafson of Riverton, Paul Thorkelsson of Victoria, BC, and Thorkel (Monty) Thorkelsson of Minneapolis. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Marcelia was born in Winnipeg to Johanna Maria Fredricksdottor and Soffinias Thorkelsson. She lived and worked in Winnipeg all of her life. "Auntie Marcy" had a bout of infantile paralysis as a toddler and she suffered from the effects of this illness all her life. The family would like to thank the staff at Poseidon Personal Care Home for many years of care and compassion. Marcelia was an animal lover (especially cats). Donations made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., R2L 1X3 in Marcelias memory would be appreciated. Rest in peace.
