SYLVIO ADRIAN CHEVREFILS On Sunday, October 31, 2004, aged 66 years, Sylvio, beloved husband of Angeline, passed away peacefully. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Susan (Murray) Steinke, Pauline (Robert) Vincent and Paul (Wendy) Chevrefils; and his grandchildren, Ashley and Brooke Vincent, Carter and Shane Steinke and Colton and Alexandra Chevrefils. Sylvio will also be missed by his brothers and sisters, Albert (Alice), Lionel (Margaret), Allan (Yvonne), Romeo (Margaret), Sister Alice Chevrefils, Lillian (Henry), Linda (Maurice) and Maureen (Mike) his stepchildren, Rosaline and Wilfred Chevrefils and Robert and Nancy Dufour; and his stepgrandchildren. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Herve and Mary; and his brothers, Lawrence and Donat. His first wife Cecile Chevrefils predeceased him on May 27, 2001. Sylvio was born and raised in the Pine Falls area. He worked for the Pine Falls Paper Co. until he retired. He will leave a large void in the fishing community, as he had many fishing buddies and had a great joy of the sport. There will be fishing stories to recount for years. Sylvio was a loving man and will be fondly remembered for his dedication to the Notre Dame du Laus Cemetery, spending countless hours tending to the grounds. He gave us so many wonderful memories that well cherish forever. He had a great love of life and family. What a wonderful treasure God gave us: this perfect father and grandfather, well keep you in our hearts forever. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, November 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Notre Dame du Laus Roman Catholic Church, Powerview, MB with Rev. Fr. Jim Gray the Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Notre Dame du Laus Cemetery.
