FERN CAMILLE ECCLES (PHOENIX)

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFERN CAMILLE ECCLES (nee PHOENIX) Fern Camille Eccles (nee Phoenix), the epitome of a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend died peacefully on Monday, November 1 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg. She was 77. Fern was born in Melita, MB on March 6, 1927. She attended the local district schools of Elva, Birch Bay and Belfray, and worked at a drugstore until her marriage in 1952. A Manitoban all her life, Fern also graced the communities of Thompson, Morden and Winnipeg, and at each location imparted family value with brilliant flair. She had that rare combination of beauty and energy. Her magic was displayed through her smile and hands, for which she could lighten the mood of any room or leave an everlasting artistic impression on all those around her. Fern will be forever remembered by husband Blythe Eccles in Winnipeg; sister Lois Foster in Melita; daughter Lynne (Stuart) Guest in Edmonton, AB; son Wayne (Linda) Eccles in Winnipeg; and son Roy (Karena) Eccles in Sherwood Park, AB; and eight grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, Lara, Neil, Codey, Allison, Meghan and Thomas. Daughter Janice Eccles and brother Merlin Phoenix predeceased Fern.
