WATSON ROBINSON On November 2, 2004, following a two year struggle with cancer, Watson Robinson began a new journey, reuniting with his daughters, Iris and MaryAnne, grandson Jordan and his sisters, Anne and Mary who had gone before him. Watson was 72. Watson leaves to mourn his daughter Janet; sons-in-law, Shane and Ralph; grandsons, Jason and Jeff (Christie) the mother of his daughters (Jeannette), nephews, nieces and dear friends. Watson grew up mostly in Winnipeg, but also made his home in Ashern, Gypsumville and Malonton. He worked for the Department of Highways for most of his life. During his employment with Highways he travelled throughout the province and every year couldnt wait to get on to the winter roads. Following his retirement, Watson loved to putter around at "Bergners". Watson enjoyed almost anything and everything related to the outdoors. He also enjoyed taking driving trips to British Columbia and through the States - with an occasional fly-in trip to Vegas - where he took great delight in people watching. Watson loved being around people and people enjoyed being around him. He treasured his daughters and also the friendships he made throughout his life. Watson was a very kind and giving man, always willing to lend a helping hand. Throughout his battle with cancer, Watson maintained a positive attitude. Although frustrated at times because he could no longer do all the things he "used to do", Watson never complained and never gave up hope. He was determined that the disease would not break his spirit, nor would he allow it to take away his pride or dignity. He persevered and was determined to hold on to his independence as long as he could. On behalf of Watson, his daughter would like to express heartfelt gratitude to staff of Riverview Health Centre 3E, including: Linda(s), Alina, Stella, Rachael, Wayne, Margaret, Bev, Marlene(s), Lou, Alain, Helen, Dana, Kerry, Barb, Brian, doctors Garcia, Pilkey and Crow and others. Words cannot do justice to what you do, or to what you did for us. Appreciation also goes to Dr. "J" and staff of Victoria Hospital Oncology. At the request of Watson, cremation has already occurred. A memorial service to celebrate Watsons life will be held on Saturday, November 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Aubrey Street entrance. The Rev. Diane Guilford presiding. Honorary pallbearers: Harvey Bergner, Raymond Cook, Jason Kuny, Jeff Kuny, Gerald Hyde, Eugene Syrotiuk. Until we meet again, you will remain, forever in our hearts. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
