Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN CATHERINE BADGER Helen Catherine Badgers dance with life came to an end with family by her side, on Thursday, October 28, 2004. She is survived by three daughters and their families. Martha and Richard Sawchuk with Jamie, Linda, Laura and Ashley and Paul, Margaret, Iris and Joe. Cathy and Bill Gordon with Tim and Dan. Ruth and Phil Cowan with Matthew and Kelly. Also dear to Helen were Gerry Major, Doree Greaves, and Marian Mathews and our large extended family. Helen was predeceased by her cherished husband Harry Badger and infant son; her parents Marian Elizabeth and John Robert Major; her siblings, Ian, Margaret, Ruth, Jean, Charlie and Gordon and her granddaughter Leah Gordon. Helen was always open to new ideas and challenging theology, which led her to achieve her Bachelor of Arts degree at the age of 65. Mom also enjoyed volunteering and mentoring women and was President of the Board of the Winnipeg YWCA and also the Manitoba Board of CGIT. Helen enjoyed her participation with the ex-Oxford lunch group, Celebration worship at Westminister, and the Re-Imagining community which sustained her spirituality. Art was Helens special gift to others, in her knitting, sewing and quilting. In the last two years she chose to enjoy and to participate in the life of the Golden Door Geriatric Centre. We are most thankful for the care we received from the Golden Door. A time of Celebration of her Life is planned for Saturday, November 13 at 3:00 p.m. at Immanuel United Church, 755 Golspie.
