MARIA ALICE DA ROSA On November 4, 2004, Maria da Rosa, aged 64 years passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital. Maria da Rosa was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and came to Canada in 1975. She is survived by her beloved husband Manuel Rosa and by her children Lucia, Elizabete, and Joao Luis; their spouses, Francisco Carvalho, Isidro Santos; grandchildren, Marcia (Thomas Hayes), Marco, Michael, Tania, Isidro Manuel; her dearest sisters, in Brazil, Conceicao and Cacilda; her niece in Winnipeg, Gizela Colto and many more nieces and nephews in Portugal and Brazil. Maria will be sadly missed by her family for her warmth and love of life. She died peacefully and happy just as she lived her life. Prayers will be held on Sunday, November 7 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 8 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Brazier and Munroe with Brother Jorge Villegas, O.F.M. Cap. officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff of St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate care and companionship.
