HELGA KRISTINE SVAVA DORY 1912 - 2004 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our caring and generous mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Svava Dory (formerly of Ashern) on Thursday, November 4, 2004 at home in Clearwater, MB at the age of 92 years. Svava was born in Hayland, MB on July 29, 1912. She married Ken Dory on January 21, 1943 and they spent 26 years farming together in the Ashern area. After Kens passing Svava moved to Winnipeg and joined the work force and on retirement returned to her country home in Ashern. In November 2002 she moved to Clearwater, MB to the home of daughter Dianne. Lovingly remembered and missed she is survived by daughters, Lenore Floyde (Earle), Dianne Lussier (Rick) Amma to grandchildren, Ken (Shelly), Tyson (friend Sara), Jason (Jacquie), Kendra (Daniel) and Mark; great-granddaughters, Tabitha and Jordyn; sister Freda and several nieces and nephews. Svava was predeceased by her husband Ken 1969; son Leroy 1977; sisters and brothers, Margaret, John, Laufey, Helga, Freda Kristine, Kristrun, Bjarni, Hjalmar, Soffia, Sigrun and Anna. In lieu of flowers should friends so desire donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of ones choice. Graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 11 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ashern United Church Cemetery with Pastor Bill Watson officiating.
