GRACE GRYWINSKI (nee POKOL) Peacefully on Thursday, November 4, 2004, Grace passed away at Riverview Health Centre. Grace was predeceased by her husband John and her brother Alex. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her son Darrell; daughter-in-law Colleen; sisters, Mary, Ella, and Bess, and numerous other relatives and friends. Special friend and close companion, John, will also miss Grace. Grace was born on the farm in Red Deer Hill, a little railway siding outside of Prince Albert, SK, to Elizabeth and Julius Pokol. From there the family moved to a farm in Leask, SK. Grace had many stories of the fun childhood times she had with her brother and sisters on the farm. As a young woman, Grace met John and moved to Winnipeg where the two were married in 1948. They later moved to Russell, MB where they were co-owners of a hotel until John passed away in 1968. Grace and Darrell then moved back to Winnipeg. Grace had a few different jobs over the years where many friendships were made. For the last four years Grace enjoyed the cottage at St. Laurent. There she was always busy with landscaping, tending her garden, and rock hunting down by the water with Kira. She tried to never miss a sunset. Graces love for cats was known to all. Frank, Tessa, and Nikita will be buried with her. Family and friends always knew that coffee was on at Graces place. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 8 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Tsang and staff, doctors and staff at CancerCare Manitoba, the palliative care team that went to Graces home, and the staff of 3 East at Riverview Health Centre whose kindness, compassion, and support helped us through a difficult time. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or your favorite pet charity. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
