RENEE MARIE McLEAN (nee LOVATT) Peacefully in Ottawa, on Thursday, November 4, 2004, at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Raymond McLean for 55 years, until his tragic death on August 20, 2004. Dearest mother of Marianne, Janet and Monica McLean, and mother-in-law of Philip Goldring, Richard South and Eugene Balangero. Loving grandmother of Dmitri, Hugh, Alexander and Colin Goldring, and of baby granddaughter, Catherine South, who died in 1985. She will be sadly missed by her sisters, Ann Blicq (Ian) in Winnipeg and Ellen Sargeant (Creighton) in Markham, as well as her sister-in-law Rita Nemish (Herb) in Winnipeg. She will be fondly remembered by her cousin, Simone Binjamin in Brest, France, as well as other cousins, nieces and nephews across Canada. After her birth in Lanhouarneau, Brittany, France, Renees family settled in Winnipeg. Renee and Raymond met and married in Winnipeg where they started their family. They also lived in Montreal, Victoria and Ottawa. Renee was a devout Roman Catholic and felt privileged to serve as a Eucharistic Minister; her faith was her anchor in difficult times. Renee will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 2313 Carling Avenue (west of Carlingwood) Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, November 6, 2004 at St. Basils Church (Rex Ave.) at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated.
