DELBERT F. PLETT 1948 - 2004 Delbert F. Plett passed away peacefully after a battle with liver cancer on Thursday, November 4, 2004 at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach at the age of 56 years. Delbert is survived by his sister Kathy (Harry Peters) brothers, Norman (Heidi) and Nathaniel (Lucille) brother-in-law Gerry Doerksen; nieces and nephews and a host of cousins. Delbert is predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Gertrude R. Plett; and his sister Clara Doerksen. Delbert practiced law in Steinbach but his real passion was researching and writing about the history of the conservative Mennonites around the world. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 10 1:30 p.m. At the Blumenort EMC Church in Blumenort, MB, with the interment at the Steinbach Heritage cemetery on Loewen Boulevard. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the Blumenort EMC Church. The family wishes to thank Mr. P.K. Reimer for his special care and companionship he provided for Delbert. A special thank you to Dr. Kaethler for his extraordinary care of our brother medically and spiritually.
